Context of Psalms 50:3
1The Mighty One, God, the Lord, has spoken, And summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting. 2Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone forth. May our God come and not keep silence; Fire devours before Him, And it is very tempestuous around Him. 4He summons the heavens above, And the earth, to judge His people: 5“Gather My godly ones to Me, Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”

Commentaries on Psalms 50:3
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 3Our God shall come - That is, he will come to judgment. This language is derived from the supposition that God “will” judge the world, and it shows that this doctrine was understood and believed by the Hebrews. The New Testament has stated the fact that this will be done by the coming of his Son Jesus Christ to gather the nations before him, and to pronounce tile final sentence on mankind: Matthew 25:31; Acts 17:31; Acts 10:42; John 5:22.
