Psalms 136

Thanks for the Lord’s Goodness to Israel.

1 1Give thanks to the Lord, for 2He is good, For 3His lovingkindness is everlasting.2Give thanks to the 4God of gods, For His lovingkindness is everlasting.3Give thanks to the 5Lord of lords, For His lovingkindness is everlasting.4To Him who 6alone does great 7wonders, For His lovingkindness is everlasting;5To Him who 8made the heavens 9 10with skill, For His lovingkindness is everlasting;6To Him who 11spread out the earth above the waters, For His lovingkindness is everlasting;7To Him who 12made the great lights, For His lovingkindness is everlasting:8The 13sun to rule 14by day, For His lovingkindness is everlasting,9The 15moon and stars to rule 16by night, For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

10To Him who 17smote 18the Egyptians in their firstborn, For His lovingkindness is everlasting,11And 19brought Israel out from their midst, For His lovingkindness is everlasting,12With a 20strong hand and an 21outstretched arm, For His lovingkindness is everlasting.13To Him who 22divided the 23Red Sea 24asunder, For His lovingkindness is everlasting,14And 25made Israel pass through the midst of it, For His lovingkindness is everlasting;15But 26He 27overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the 28Red Sea, For His lovingkindness is everlasting.16To Him who 29led His people through the wilderness, For His lovingkindness is everlasting;17To Him who 30smote great kings, For His lovingkindness is everlasting,18And 31slew 32mighty kings, For His lovingkindness is everlasting:19 33Sihon, king of the Amorites, For His lovingkindness is everlasting,20And 34Og, king of Bashan, For His lovingkindness is everlasting,21And 35gave their land as a heritage, For His lovingkindness is everlasting,22Even a heritage to Israel His 36servant, For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

23Who 37remembered us in our low estate, For His lovingkindness is everlasting,24And has 38rescued us from our adversaries, For His lovingkindness is everlasting;25Who 39gives food to all flesh, For His lovingkindness is everlasting.26Give thanks to the 40God of heaven, For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
