Psalms 23

The Lord, the Psalmist’s Shepherd.

A Psalm of David.

1The Lord is my 1shepherd, I 2shall 3not want.2He makes me lie down in 4green pastures; He 5leads me beside 6 7quiet waters.3He 8restores my soul; He 9guides me in the 10 11paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

4Even though I 12walk through the 13valley of the shadow of death, I 14fear no 15evil, for 16You are with me; Your 17rod and Your staff, they comfort me.5You 18prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You 19have 20anointed my head with oil; My 21cup overflows.6 22Surely 23goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will 24 25dwell in the house of the Lord 26forever.
