Psalms 138
Thanksgiving for the Lord’s Favor.
A Psalm of David.
11I will give You thanks with all my heart; I will sing praises to You before the 2gods.2I will bow down 3toward Your holy temple And 4give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your 5truth; For You have 6magnified Your 7word 8according to all Your name.3On the day I 9called, You answered me; You made me bold with 10strength in my soul.
411All the kings of the earth will give thanks to You, O Lord, When they have heard the words of Your mouth.5And they will 12sing of the ways of the Lord, For 13great is the glory of the Lord.6For 14though the Lord is exalted, Yet He 15regards the lowly, But the 16haughty He knows from afar.
7Though I 17walk in the midst of trouble, You will 1819revive me; You will 20stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will 21save me.8The Lord will 22accomplish what concerns me; Your 23lovingkindness, O Lord, is everlasting; 24Do not forsake the 25works of Your hands.
