Psalms 65

God’s Abundant Favor to Earth and Man.

For the choir director. A Psalm of David. A Song.

1There will be silence 1before You, and praise in Zion, O God, And to You the 2vow will be performed.2O You who hear prayer, To You 3all 4men come.356Iniquities prevail against me; As for our transgressions, You 78forgive them.4How 9blessed is the one whom You 10choose and bring near to You To dwell in Your courts. We will be 11satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.

5By 12awesome deeds You answer us in righteousness, O 13God of our salvation, You who are the trust of all the 14ends of the earth and of the farthest 1516sea;6Who 17establishes the mountains by His strength, Being 18girded with might;7Who 19stills the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the 20tumult of the peoples.8They who dwell in the 21ends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs; You make the 22dawn and the sunset shout for joy.

9You visit the earth and 23cause it to overflow; You greatly 24enrich it; The 2526stream of God is full of water; You prepare their 27grain, for thus You prepare 28the earth.10You water its furrows abundantly, You 29settle its ridges, You soften it 30with showers, You bless its growth.11You have crowned the year 31with Your 3233bounty, And Your 34paths 35drip with fatness.1236The pastures of the wilderness drip, And the 37hills gird themselves with rejoicing.13The meadows are 38clothed with flocks And the valleys are 39covered with grain; They 40shout for joy, yes, they sing.
