Psalms 3

Morning Prayer of Trust in God.

A Psalm of David, when 2 Sam 15:13-17, 29he fled from Absalom his son.

1O Lord, how 1my adversaries have increased! Many are rising up against me.2Many are saying 2of my soul, “There is no 34deliverance for him in God.” 5Selah.

3But You, O Lord, are 6a shield about me, My 7glory, and the One who 8lifts my head.4I was crying to the Lord with my voice, And He 9answered me from 10His holy 11mountain. Selah.512I 13lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustains me.6I will 14not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have 15set themselves against me round about.

716Arise, O Lord; 17save me, O my God! For You 18have 19smitten all my enemies on the 20cheek; You 21have 22shattered the teeth of the wicked.82324Salvation belongs to the Lord; Your 25blessing 26be upon Your people! Selah.
