Psalms 1

The Righteous and the Wicked Contrasted.

1How blessed is the man who 1does not walk in the 2counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the 34path of sinners, Nor 5sit in the seat of scoffers!2But his 6delight is 7in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates 8day and 9night.3He will be like 10a tree firmly planted by 11streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its 12leaf does not wither; And 13in whatever he does, 14he prospers.

4The wicked are not so, But they are like 15chaff which the wind drives away.5Therefore 16the wicked will not stand in the 17judgment, Nor sinners in 18the assembly of the righteous.6For the Lord 1920knows the way of the righteous, But the way of 21the wicked will perish.
