Psalms 62
God Alone a Refuge from Treachery and Oppression.
For the choir director; Cf 1 Chr 16:41; 25:1; Ps 39 and 77 titlesaccording to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David.
11My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him 2is my salvation.2He only is my 3rock and my salvation, My 4stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.
3How long will you assail a man, That you may murder him, all of you, Like a 5leaning wall, like a tottering fence?4They have counseled only to thrust him down from his high position; They 6delight in falsehood; They 7bless with 8their mouth, But inwardly they curse. 9Selah.
5My soul, 10wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him.6He only is 11my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.7On God my 12salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my 13refuge is in God.814Trust in Him at all times, O people; 15Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.
9Men of 16low degree are only 17vanity and men of rank are a 18lie; In the 19balances they go up; They are together lighter than breath.1020Do not trust in oppression And do not 21vainly hope in 22robbery; If riches increase, 23do not set your heart upon them.
1124Once God has 25spoken; 26Twice I have heard this: That 27power belongs to God;12And lovingkindness 28is Yours, O Lord, For You 29recompense a man according to his work.
