Psalms 25

Prayer for Protection, Guidance and Pardon.

A Psalm of David.

1To You, O Lord, I 1lift up my soul.2O my God, in You 2I trust, Do not let me 3be ashamed; Do not let my 4enemies exult over me.3Indeed, 5none of those who wait for You will be ashamed; 6Those who 7deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed.

48Make me know Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths.5Lead me in 9Your truth and teach me, For You are the 10God of my salvation; For You I 11wait all the day.612Remember, O Lord, Your compassion and Your lovingkindnesses, For they have been 1314from of old.7Do not remember the 15sins of my youth or my transgressions; 16According to Your lovingkindness remember me, For Your 17goodness’ sake, O Lord.

818Good and 19upright is the Lord; Therefore He 20instructs sinners in the way.9He 21leads the 22humble in justice, And He 23teaches the 24humble His way.10All the paths of the Lord are 25lovingkindness and truth To 26those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.11For 27Your name’s sake, O Lord, 28Pardon my iniquity, for it is great.

12Who is the man who 29fears the Lord? He will 30instruct him in the way he should choose.13His soul will 31abide in 32prosperity, And his 33descendants will 34inherit the 35land.14The 3637secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him, 38And He will 39make them know His covenant.15My 40eyes are continually toward the Lord, For He will 4142pluck my feet out of the net.

1643Turn to me and be gracious to me, For I am 44lonely and afflicted.1745The 46troubles of my heart are enlarged; Bring me 47out of my distresses.1848Look upon my affliction and my 49trouble, And 50forgive all my sins.19Look upon my enemies, for they 51are many, And they 52hate me with violent hatred.2053Guard my soul and deliver me; Do not let me 54be ashamed, for I take refuge in You.21Let 55integrity and uprightness preserve me, For 56I wait for You.2257Redeem Israel, O God, Out of all his troubles.
