Psalms 11
The Lord a Refuge and Defense.
For the choir director. A Psalm of David.
1In the Lord I 1take refuge; How can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your 2mountain;2For, behold, the wicked 3bend the bow, They 45make ready their arrow upon the string To 6shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.3If the 7foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?”
4The Lord is in His 8holy temple; the 9Lord’s 10throne is in heaven; His 11eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.5The Lord 12tests the righteous and 13the wicked, And the one who loves violence His soul hates.6Upon the wicked He will 14rain 15snares; 16Fire and brimstone and 17burning wind will be the portion of 18their cup.7For the Lord is 19righteous, 20He loves 21righteousness; The upright will 22behold His face.
