Psalms 66
Praise for God’s Mighty Deeds and for His Answer to Prayer.
For the choir director. A Song. A Psalm.
11Shout joyfully to God, all the earth;2Sing the 2glory of His name; Make His 3praise glorious.3Say to God, “How 4awesome are Your works! Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will 56give feigned obedience to You.47All the earth will worship You, And will 8sing praises to You; They will sing praises to Your name.” 9Selah.
510Come and see the works of God, Who is 11awesome in His deeds toward the sons of men.6He 12turned the sea into dry land; They passed through 13the river on foot; There let us 14rejoice in Him!7He 15rules by His might forever; His 16eyes keep watch on the nations; Let not the rebellious 17exalt themselves. Selah.
8Bless our God, O peoples, And 1819sound His praise abroad,9Who 2021keeps us in life And 22does not allow our feet to 23slip.10For You have 24tried us, O God; You have 25refined us as silver is refined.11You 26brought us into the net; You laid an oppressive burden upon our loins.12You made men 27ride over our heads; We went through 28fire and through water, Yet You 29brought us out into a place of abundance.13I shall 30come into Your house with burnt offerings; I shall 31pay You my vows,14Which my lips uttered And my mouth spoke when I was 32in distress.15I shall 33offer to You burnt offerings of fat beasts, With the smoke of 34rams; I shall make an offering of 35bulls with male goats. Selah.
1636Come and hear, all who 37fear God, And I will 38tell of what He has done for my soul.17I cried to Him with my mouth, And 39He was 40extolled with my tongue.18If I 4142regard wickedness in my heart, The 43Lord 44will not 45hear;19But certainly 46God has heard; He has given heed to the voice of my prayer.2047Blessed be God, Who 48has not turned away my prayer Nor His lovingkindness from me.
