Psalms 82

Unjust Judgments Rebuked.

A Psalm of Asaph.

1God takes His 1stand in 2His own congregation; He 3judges in the midst of the 4 5rulers.2How long will you 6judge unjustly And 7show partiality to the wicked? 8Selah.3 9Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and destitute.4 10Rescue the weak and needy; Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.

5They 11do not know nor do they understand; They 12walk about in darkness; All the 13foundations of the earth are shaken.6 14I 15said, “You are gods, And all of you are 16sons of the Most High.7Nevertheless 17you will die like men And fall like any 18one of the princes.”8 19Arise, O God, 20judge the earth! For it is You who 21possesses all the nations.
