Psalms 106:24-33

24Then they 1despised the 2pleasant land; They 3did not believe in His word,25But 4grumbled in their tents; They did not listen to the voice of the Lord.26Therefore He 56swore to them That He would cast them down in the wilderness,27And that He would 7cast their seed among the nations And 8scatter them in the lands.

28They 9joined themselves also to 10Baal-peor, And ate 11sacrifices offered to the dead.29Thus they 12provoked Him to anger with their deeds, And the plague broke out among them.30Then Phinehas 13stood up and interposed, And so the 14plague was stayed.31And it was 15reckoned to him for righteousness, To all generations forever.

32They also 16provoked Him to wrath at the waters of 17Meribah, So that it 18went hard with Moses on their account;33Because they 19were rebellious against 20His Spirit, He spoke rashly with his lips.
