Psalms 104:6-26
6You 1covered it with the deep as with a garment; The waters were standing above the mountains.7At Your 2rebuke they fled, At the 3sound of Your thunder they hurried away.8The mountains rose; the valleys sank down To the 4place which You established for them.9You set a 5boundary that they may not pass over, So that they will not return to cover the earth.
106He sends forth 7springs in the valleys; They flow between the mountains;11They 8give drink to every beast of the field; The 9wild donkeys quench their thirst.1210Beside them the birds of the heavens 11dwell; They 12lift up their voices among the branches.1313He 14waters the mountains from His upper chambers; 15The earth is satisfied with the fruit of His works.
1416He causes the 17grass to grow for the 18cattle, And 19vegetation for the 20labor of man, So that 21he may bring forth 22food 23from the earth,15And 24wine which makes man’s heart glad, 25So that he may make his face glisten with oil, And 26food which 27sustains man’s heart.16The trees of the Lord 28drink their fill, The cedars of Lebanon which He planted,17Where the 29birds build their nests, And the 30stork, whose home is the 31fir trees.
18The high mountains are for the 32wild goats; The 33cliffs are a refuge for the 3435shephanim.19He made the moon 36for the seasons; The 37sun knows the place of its setting.20You 38appoint darkness and it becomes night, In which all the 39beasts of the forest 40prowl about.21The 41young lions roar after their prey 42And 43seek their food from God.22When the sun rises they withdraw And lie down in their 44dens.23Man goes forth to 45his work And to his labor until evening.
24O Lord, how 46many are Your works! 47In 48wisdom You have made them all; The 49earth is full of Your 50possessions.2551There is the 52sea, great and 53broad, In which are swarms without number, Animals both small and great.26There the 54ships move along, And 5556Leviathan, which You have formed to sport in it.
