Psalms 44:18-23
18Our heart has not 1turned back, And our steps 2have not deviated from Your way,19Yet You have 3crushed us in a place of 4jackals And covered us with 5the shadow of death.
20If we had 6forgotten the name of our God Or extended our 7hands to 8a strange god,21Would not God 9find this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.22But 10for Your sake we are killed all day long; We are considered as 11sheep to be slaughtered.2312Arouse Yourself, why 13do You sleep, O Lord? Awake, 14do not reject us forever.
