Psalms 44:18-23
18Our heart has not 1turned back, And our steps 2have not deviated from Your way,19Yet You have 3crushed us in a place of 4jackals And covered us with 56deep darkness.
20If we had 7forgotten the name of our God Or extended our 8hands to 9a strange god,21Would God not 10find this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.22But 11for Your sake we are killed all day long; We are regarded as 12sheep to be slaughtered.2313Wake Yourself up, why 14do You sleep, Lord? Awake, 15do not reject us forever.
