Psalms 106:28-33
28They 1joined themselves also to 2Baal-peor, And ate 3sacrifices offered to the dead.29Thus they 4provoked Him to anger with their deeds, And the plague broke out among them.30Then Phinehas 5stood up and interposed, And so the 6plague was stayed.31And it was 7reckoned to him for righteousness, To all generations forever.
32They also 8provoked Him to wrath at the waters of 9Meribah, So that it 10went hard with Moses on their account;33Because they 11were rebellious against 12His Spirit, He spoke rashly with his lips.
