Psalms 106:28-33
28They also 1followed 2Baal-peor, And ate 3sacrifices offered to the dead.29So they 4provoked Him to anger with their deeds, And a plague broke out among them.30Then Phinehas 5stood up and 6intervened, And so the 7plague was brought to a halt.31And it was 8credited to him as righteousness, To all generations forever.
32They also 9provoked Him to wrath at the waters of 10Meribah, So that it 11went badly for Moses on their account.33Because they 12were rebellious against 13His Spirit, He spoke rashly with his lips.
