Psalms 10:2-11
2In 1pride the wicked 2hotly pursue the afflicted; 3Let them be 4caught in the plots which they have devised.
3For the wicked 5boasts of his 6heart’s desire, And 7the greedy man curses and 8spurns the Lord.4The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, 9does not seek Him. All his 10thoughts are, “11There is no God.”
5His ways 1213prosper at all times; Your judgments are on high, 14out of his sight; As for all his adversaries, he snorts at them.6He says to himself, “15I will not be moved; 16Throughout all generations 17I will not be in adversity.”7His 18mouth is full of curses and deceit and 19oppression; 20Under his tongue is mischief and wickedness.8He sits in the 21lurking places of the villages; In the hiding places he 22kills the innocent; His eyes 23stealthily watch for the 2425unfortunate.9He lurks in a hiding place as 26a lion in his 27lair; He 28lurks to catch 29the afflicted; He catches the afflicted when he draws him into his 30net.10He 31crouches, he 32bows down, And the 33unfortunate fall 34by his mighty ones.11He 35says to himself, “God has forgotten; He has hidden His face; He will never see it.”
