Psalms 88:10-18

10Will You perform wonders for the dead? Will 1the 2departed spirits rise and praise You? Selah.11Will Your lovingkindness be declared in the grave, Your faithfulness in 3Abaddon?12Will Your wonders be made known in the 4darkness? And Your 5righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

13But I, O Lord, have cried out 6to You for help, And 7in the morning my prayer comes before You.14O Lord, why 8do You reject my soul? Why do You 9hide Your face from me?15I was afflicted and 10about to die from my youth on; I suffer 11Your terrors; I am 12overcome.16Your 13burning anger has passed over me; Your terrors have 14 15destroyed me.17They have 16surrounded me 17like water all day long; They have 18encompassed me altogether.18You have removed 19lover and friend far from me; My acquaintances are in darkness.
