Psalms 88:10-18

10Will You perform wonders for the dead? Or will 1the departed spirits rise and praise You? Selah11Will Your graciousness be declared in the grave, Your faithfulness in 2Abaddon?12Will Your wonders be made known in the 3darkness? And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

13But I, Lord, have cried out 4to You for help, And 5in the morning my prayer comes before You.14Lord, why 6do You reject my soul? Why do You 7hide Your face from me?15I was miserable and 8about to die from my youth on; I suffer 9Your terrors; I grow weary.16Your 10burning anger has passed over me; Your terrors have 11 12destroyed me.17They have 13surrounded me 14like water all day long; They have 15encircled me altogether.18You have removed 16lover and friend far from me; My acquaintances are in a hiding place.
