Psalms 78:17-31
17Yet they still continued to sin against Him, To 1rebel against the Most High in the desert.18And in their heart they 2put God to the test By asking 3food according to their desire.19Then they spoke against God; They said, “4Can God prepare a table in the wilderness?20Behold, He 5struck the rock so that waters gushed out, And streams were overflowing; Can He give bread also? Will He provide 67meat for His people?”
21Therefore the Lord heard and 8was 9full of wrath; And a fire was kindled against Jacob And anger also mounted against Israel,22Because they 10did not believe in God And did not trust in His salvation.23Yet He commanded the clouds above And 11opened the doors of heaven;24He 12rained down manna upon them to eat And gave them 1314food from heaven.25Man did eat the bread of 15angels; He sent them 16food 1718in abundance.26He 19caused the east wind to blow in the heavens And by His 20power He directed the south wind.27When He rained 21meat upon them like the dust, Even 22winged fowl like the sand of the seas,28Then He let them fall in the midst of 23their camp, Round about their dwellings.29So they 24ate and were well filled, And their desire He gave to them.3025Before they had satisfied their desire, 26While their food was in their mouths,31The 27anger of God rose against them And killed 28some of their 29stoutest ones, And 30subdued the choice men of Israel.
