Psalms 68:5-18
5A 1father of the fatherless and a 2judge 3for the widows, Is God in His 4holy habitation.6God 56makes a home for the lonely; He 7leads out the prisoners into prosperity, Only 8the rebellious dwell in a parched land.
7O God, when You 9went forth before Your people, When You 10marched through the wilderness, 11Selah.8The 12earth quaked; The 13heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God; 1415Sinai itself quaked at the presence of God, the God of Israel.9You 16shed abroad a plentiful rain, O God; You confirmed Your inheritance when it was 17parched.10Your creatures settled in it; You 18provided in Your goodness for the poor, O God.
11The Lord gives the 19command; The 20women who proclaim the good tidings are a great host:12“21Kings of armies flee, they flee, And she who remains at home will 22divide the spoil!”1323When you lie down 24among the 25sheepfolds, You are like the wings of a dove covered with silver, And its pinions with glistening gold.14When the Almighty 26scattered the kings 27there, It was snowing in 28Zalmon.
15A 2930mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan; A mountain of many peaks is the mountain of Bashan.16Why do you look with envy, O mountains with many peaks, At the mountain which God has 31desired for His abode? Surely 32the Lord will dwell there forever.17The 33chariots of God are 34myriads, 35thousands upon thousands; 36The Lord is among them as at Sinai, in holiness.18You have 37ascended on high, You have 38led captive Your captives; You have received gifts among men, Even among the rebellious also, that 39the Lord God may dwell there.
