Psalms 68:5-18
5A 1father of the fatherless and a 2judge 3for the widows, Is God in His 4holy dwelling.6God 56makes a home for the lonely; He 7leads out the prisoners into prosperity, Only 8the rebellious live in parched lands.
7God, when You 9went forth before Your people, When You 10marched through the desert, Selah8The 11earth quaked; The 12heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God; 1314Sinai itself quaked at the presence of God, the God of Israel.9You 15made plentiful rain fall, God; You confirmed Your inheritance when it was 16parched.10Your creatures settled in it; In Your kindness You 17provided for the poor, God.
11The Lord gives the 18command; The 19women who proclaim good news are a great army:12“20Kings of armies flee, they flee, And she who remains at home will 21divide the spoils!”1322When you lie down 23among the sheepfolds, You are like the wings of a dove covered with silver, And its pinions with 24glistening gold.14When the Almighty 25scattered the kings 26there, It was snowing in 27Zalmon.
1528The mountain of Bashan is a 29mountain of God; The mountain of Bashan is a mountain of many peaks.16Why do you look with envy, you mountains of many peaks, At the mountain God has 30desired as His dwelling? Indeed, 31the Lord will dwell there forever.17The 32chariots of God are 33myriads, 34thousands upon thousands; 35The Lord is among them as at Sinai, in holiness.18You have 36ascended on high, You have 37led captive Your captives; You have received gifts among people, Even among the rebellious as well, that 38the Lord God may dwell there.
