Psalms 136

Thanks for the Lord’s Goodness to Israel.

1 1Give thanks to the Lord, for 2He is good, For 3His 4faithfulness is everlasting.2Give thanks to the 5God of gods, For His faithfulness is everlasting.3Give thanks to the 6Lord of lords, For His faithfulness is everlasting.4To Him who 7alone does great 8wonders, For His faithfulness is everlasting;5To Him who 9made the heavens 10 11with skill, For His faithfulness is everlasting;6To Him who 12spread out the earth above the waters, For His faithfulness is everlasting;7To Him who 13made the great lights, For His faithfulness is everlasting:8The 14sun to rule 15by day, For His faithfulness is everlasting,9The 16moon and stars to rule 17by night, For His faithfulness is everlasting.

10To Him who 18struck 19the Egyptians, that is, their firstborn, For His faithfulness is everlasting,11And 20brought Israel out from their midst, For His faithfulness is everlasting,12With a 21strong hand and an 22outstretched arm, For His faithfulness is everlasting.13To Him who 23divided the 24Red Sea in parts, For His faithfulness is everlasting,14And 25allowed Israel to pass through the midst of it, For His faithfulness is everlasting;15But 26He 27overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the 28Red Sea, For His faithfulness is everlasting.16To Him who 29led His people through the wilderness, For His faithfulness is everlasting;17To Him who 30struck great kings, For His faithfulness is everlasting,18And 31brought death to 32mighty kings, For His faithfulness is everlasting:19 33Sihon, king of the Amorites, For His faithfulness is everlasting,20And 34Og, king of Bashan, For His faithfulness is everlasting,21And 35gave their land as an inheritance, For His faithfulness is everlasting,22An inheritance to His 36servant Israel, For His faithfulness is everlasting.

23Who 37remembered us in our lowliness, For His faithfulness is everlasting,24And has 38rescued us from our enemies, For His faithfulness is everlasting;25Who 39gives food to all flesh, For His faithfulness is everlasting.26Give thanks to the 40God of heaven, For His faithfulness is everlasting.
