Psalms 73:13-22
13Surely 1in vain I have 2kept my heart pure And 3washed my hands in innocence;14For I have been stricken 4all day long And 56chastened every morning.
15If I had said, “I will speak thus,” Behold, I would have betrayed the 7generation of Your children.16When I 8pondered to understand this, It was 9troublesome in my sight17Until I came into the 1011sanctuary of God; Then I perceived their 12end.18Surely You set them in 13slippery places; You cast them down to 1415destruction.19How they are 1617destroyed in a moment! They are utterly swept away by 18sudden terrors!20Like a 19dream when one awakes, O Lord, when 20aroused, You will 21despise their 22form.
21When my 23heart was embittered And I was 24pierced 25within,22Then I was 26senseless and ignorant; I was like 27a 28beast 29before You.
