Psalms 73:13-22

13Surely 1in vain I have 2kept my heart pure And 3washed my hands in innocence;14For I have been stricken 4all day long, And 5 6punished every morning.

15If I had said, “I will speak this way,” Behold, I would have betrayed the 7generation of Your children.16When I 8thought of understanding this, It was 9troublesome in my sight17Until I entered the 10 11sanctuary of God; Then I perceived their 12end.18You indeed put them on 13slippery ground; You dropped them into 14 15ruin.19How they are 16 17destroyed in a moment! They are utterly swept away by 18sudden terrors!20Like a 19dream when one awakes, Lord, when 20stirred, You will 21despise their image.

21When my 22heart was embittered And I was 23pierced 24within,22Then I was 25stupid and ignorant; I was like an 26animal 27before You.
