Psalms 72:5-17

5 1Let them fear You 2while the sun endures, And 3as long as the moon, throughout all generations.6 4May he come down 5like rain upon the mown grass, Like 6showers that water the earth.7In his days 7may the 8righteous flourish, And 9abundance of peace till the moon is no more.

8May he also rule 10from sea to sea And from the River to the ends of the earth.9 11Let 12the nomads of the desert 13bow before him, And his enemies 14lick the dust.10 15Let the kings of 16Tarshish and of the 17 18islands bring presents; The kings of 19Sheba and 20Seba 21offer 22gifts.11 23And let all 24kings bow down before him, All 25nations serve him.

12For he will 26deliver the needy when he cries for help, The 27afflicted also, and him who has no helper.13He will have 28compassion on the poor and needy, And the 29lives of the needy he will save.14He will 30 31rescue their 32life from oppression and violence, And their blood will be 33precious in his sight;15So may he live, and may the 34gold of Sheba be given to him; And let 35them pray for him continually; Let 36them bless him all day long.

16May there be abundance of grain in the earth on top of the mountains; Its fruit will wave like the cedars of 37Lebanon; And may those from the city flourish like 38vegetation of the earth.17May his 39name endure forever; May his name 40increase 41 42as long as the sun shines; And let men 43bless themselves by him; 44Let all nations call him blessed.
