Psalms 56:1-13
1123Be gracious to me, O God, for man has 45trampled upon me; 6Fighting all day long he 7oppresses me.2My foes have 89trampled upon me all day long, For 10they are many who 11fight proudly against me.312When I am 13afraid, 14I will 15put my trust in You.416In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. 17What can mere 18man do to me?5All day long they 1920distort my words; All their 2122thoughts are against me for evil.6They 2324attack, they lurk, They 25watch my 26steps, As they have 27waited to take my 28life.7Because of wickedness, 2930cast them forth, In anger 31put down the peoples, O God!
8You 32have taken account of my wanderings; Put my 33tears in Your bottle. Are they not in 34Your book?9Then my enemies will 35turn back 36in the day when I call; This I know, 37that 38God is for me.10In God, whose word I praise, In the Lord, whose word I praise,11In God I have put my 39trust, I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?12Your 40vows are binding upon me, O God; I will render thank offerings to You.13For You have 41delivered my soul from death, 42Indeed 43my feet from stumbling, So that I may 44walk before God In the 45light of the 46living.
