Psalms 56:1-13
1123Be gracious to me, God, for a man has 45trampled upon me; 6Fighting all day long he 7oppresses me.2My enemies have 8trampled upon me all day long, For 9they are many who 10fight proudly against me.311When I am 12afraid, 13I will 14put my trust in You.415In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. 16What can mere 17mortals do to me?5All day long they 18distort my words; All their 1920thoughts are against me for evil.6They 2122attack, they lurk, They 23watch my 24steps, As they have 25waited to take my 26life.7Because of their wickedness, will there be an 27escape for them? In anger 28make the peoples fall down, God!
8You 29have taken account of my 30miseries; Put my 31tears in Your bottle. Are they not in 32Your book?9Then my enemies will 33turn back 34on the day when I call; This I know, 35that 36God is for me.10In God, whose word I praise, In the Lord, whose word I praise,11In God I have put my 37trust, I shall not be afraid. What can mankind do to me?12Your 38vows are binding upon me, God; I will render thanksgiving offerings to You.13For You have 39saved my soul from death, 40Indeed 41my feet from stumbling, So that I may 42walk before God In the 43light of the 44living.
