Psalms 55:17-23
171Evening and 2morning and at 3noon, I will complain and murmur, And He will hear my voice.18He will 4redeem my soul in peace 5from the battle which is against me, For they are 6many who strive with me.19God will 7hear and 8answer them-- Even the one 9who 10sits enthroned from of old-- Selah. With whom there 11is no change, And who 12do not fear God.20He has put forth his hands against 13those who were at peace with him; He has 1415violated his covenant.21His 16speech was 17smoother than butter, But his heart was war; His words were 18softer than oil, Yet they were drawn 19swords.
2220Cast 21your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; 22He will never allow the righteous to 2324be shaken.23But You, O God, will bring them down to the 2526pit of destruction; 27Men of bloodshed and deceit will 28not live out half their days. But I will 29trust in You.
