Psalms 51:1-17

112Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; According to the greatness of 3Your compassion 4blot out my transgressions.25Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity And 6cleanse me from my sin.3For 7I 8know my transgressions, And my sin is ever before me.49Against You, You only, I have sinned And done what is 10evil in Your sight, So that 11You 12are justified 13when You speak And 14blameless when You judge.

5Behold, I was 15brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.6Behold, You desire 16truth in the 17innermost being, And in the hidden part You will 18make me know wisdom.719Purify me 20with hyssop, and I shall be clean; 21Wash me, and I shall be 22whiter than snow.823Make me to hear 24joy and gladness, Let the 25bones which You have broken rejoice.926Hide Your face from my sins And blot out all my iniquities.

1027Create 28in me a 29clean heart, O God, And renew 30a 31steadfast spirit within me.1132Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your 33Holy Spirit from me.12Restore to me the 34joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a 35willing spirit.13Then I will 36teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners will 37be 38converted to You.

14Deliver me from 39bloodguiltiness, O God, 40the God of my salvation; Then my 41tongue will joyfully sing of Your righteousness.15O Lord, 4243open my lips, That my mouth may 44declare Your praise.16For You 45do not delight in sacrifice, otherwise I would give it; You are not pleased with burnt offering.17The sacrifices of God are a 46broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.
