Psalms 38:12-20

12Those who 1seek my life 2lay snares for me; And those who 3seek to injure me have 4threatened destruction, And they 5devise treachery all day long.

13But I, like a deaf man, do not hear; And I am like a 6mute man who does not open his mouth.14Yes, I am like a man who does not hear, And in whose mouth are no arguments.15For 7I 8hope in You, O Lord; You 9will answer, O Lord my God.16For I said, “May they not rejoice over me, Who, when my foot slips, 10would magnify themselves against me.”17For I am 11ready to fall, And 12my 13sorrow is continually before me.18For I 1415confess my iniquity; I am full of 16anxiety because of my sin.19But my 17enemies are vigorous and 18strong, And many are those who 19hate me wrongfully.20And those who 20repay evil for good, They 21oppose me, because I follow what is good.
