Psalms 18:4-11

4The 1cords of death encompassed me, And the 2torrents of 3ungodliness 4terrified me.5The 5cords of 6Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me.6In my 7distress I called upon the Lord, And cried to my God for help; He heard my voice 8out of His temple, And my 9cry for help before Him came into His ears.

7Then the 10earth shook and quaked; And the 11foundations of the mountains were trembling And were shaken, because He was angry.8Smoke went up 12out of His nostrils, And 13fire from His mouth devoured; Coals were kindled by it.9He 14bowed the heavens also, and came down With thick 15darkness under His feet.10He rode upon a 16cherub and flew; And He sped upon the 17wings of the wind.11He made 18darkness His hiding place, 19His 20canopy around Him, Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
