Psalms 17:1-8
1Hear a 1just cause, O Lord, 2give heed to my cry; 3Give ear to my prayer, which is not from 4deceitful lips.2Let 5my 6judgment come forth from Your presence; Let Your eyes look with 7equity.3You have 8tried my heart; You have visited me by night; You have 9tested me and 10You find 11nothing; I have 12purposed that my mouth will not transgress.4As for the deeds of men, 13by the word of Your lips I have kept from the 14paths of the violent.5My 15steps have held fast to Your 16paths. My 17feet have not slipped.
6I have 18called upon You, for You will answer me, O God; 19Incline Your ear to me, hear my speech.720Wondrously show Your lovingkindness, O 21Savior of those who take refuge 22at Your right hand From those who rise up against them.8Keep me as 23the 24apple of the eye; Hide me 25in the shadow of Your wings
