Psalms 17:1-8

1Hear a 1just cause, Lord, 2give Your attention to my cry; 3Listen to my prayer, which is not from 4deceitful lips.2Let 5my 6judgment come forth from Your presence; Let Your eyes look with 7integrity.3You have 8put my heart to the test; You have visited me by night; You have 9sifted me and 10You find 11nothing; My 12intent is that my mouth will not offend.4As for the works of mankind, 13by the word of Your lips I have kept from the 14ways of the violent.5My 15steps have held to Your 16paths. My 17feet have not slipped.

6I have 18called upon You, for You will answer me, God; 19Incline Your ear to me, hear my speech.7 20Show Your wonderful faithfulness, 21Savior of those who take refuge 22at Your right hand From those who rise up against them.8Keep me as 23the 24apple of the eye; Hide me 25in the shadow of Your wings
