Psalms 106:13-23
13They quickly 1forgot His works; They 2did not wait for His counsel,14But 3craved intensely in the wilderness, And 45tempted God in the desert.15So He 6gave them their request, But 7sent a 8wasting disease among them.
16When they became 9envious of Moses in the camp, And of Aaron, the holy one of the Lord,17The 10earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, And engulfed the 11company of Abiram.18And a 12fire blazed up in their 13company; The flame consumed the wicked.
19They 14made a calf in Horeb And worshiped a molten image.20Thus they 15exchanged their glory For the image of an ox that eats grass.21They 16forgot God their Savior, Who had done 17great things in Egypt,221819Wonders in the land of Ham And awesome things by the 20Red Sea.23Therefore 21He said that He would destroy them, Had not 22Moses His chosen one stood in the breach before Him, To turn away His wrath from destroying them.
