Psalms 102:1-28
112Hear my prayer, O Lord! And let my cry for help 3come to You.24Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my distress; 5Incline Your ear to me; In the day when I call 6answer me quickly.3For my days 7have been 8consumed in smoke, And my 9bones have been scorched like a hearth.4My heart 10has been smitten like 11grass and has 12withered away, Indeed, I 13forget to eat my bread.5Because of the 14loudness of my groaning My 15bones 16cling to my flesh.6I 17resemble a 18pelican of the wilderness; I have become like an owl of the waste places.7I 19lie awake, I have become like a lonely bird on a housetop.
8My enemies 20have reproached me all day long; Those who 2122deride me 23have used my name as a 24curse.9For I have eaten ashes like bread And 25mingled my drink with weeping1026Because of Your indignation and Your wrath, For You have 27lifted me up and cast me away.11My days are like a 2829lengthened shadow, And 30I 31wither away like 32grass.
12But You, O Lord, 3334abide forever, And Your 3536name to all generations.13You will 37arise and have 38compassion on Zion; For 39it is time to be gracious to her, For the 40appointed time has come.14Surely Your servants 41find pleasure in her stones And feel pity for her dust.1542So the 4344nations will fear the name of the Lord And 45all the kings of the earth Your glory.16For the Lord has 46built up Zion; He has 47appeared in His glory.17He has 48regarded the prayer of the 49destitute And has not despised their prayer.
1850This will be 51written for the 52generation to come, 53That 54a people yet to be created 55may praise 56the Lord.19For He 57looked down from His holy height; 58From heaven the Lord gazed 59upon the earth,20To hear the 60groaning of the prisoner, To 61set free 62those who were doomed to death,21That men may 63tell of the name of the Lord in Zion And His praise in Jerusalem,22When 64the peoples are gathered together, And the kingdoms, to serve the Lord.
23He has weakened my strength in the way; He has 65shortened my days.24I say, “O my God, 66do not take me away in the 67midst of my days, Your 68years are throughout all generations.25Of old You 69founded the earth, And the 70heavens are the work of Your hands.2671Even they will 72perish, but You endure; And all of them will wear out like a garment; Like clothing You will change them and they will be changed.27But You are 7374the same, And Your years will not come to an end.28The 75children of Your servants will continue, And their 7677descendants will be established before You.”
