Psalms 89:8-19

8O Lord God of hosts, 1who is like You, O mighty 2Lord? Your faithfulness also surrounds You.9You rule the swelling of the sea; When its waves rise, You 3still them.10You Yourself crushed 4 5Rahab like one who is slain; You 6scattered Your enemies with 7Your mighty arm.

11The 8heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours; The 9world and 10all it contains, You have founded them.12The 11north and the south, You have created them; 12Tabor and 13Hermon 14shout for joy at Your name.13You have 15a strong arm; Your hand is mighty, Your 16right hand is exalted.14 17Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; 18Lovingkindness and 19truth go before You.15How blessed are the people who know the 20 21joyful sound! O Lord, they walk in the 22light of Your countenance.16In 23Your name they rejoice all the day, And by Your righteousness they are exalted.17For You are the glory of 24their strength, And by Your favor 25our 26horn is exalted.18For our 27shield belongs to the Lord, 28And our king to the 29Holy One of Israel.

19 30Once You spoke in vision to Your godly 31ones, And said, “I have 32given help to one who is 33mighty; I have exalted one 34chosen from the people.
