Psalms 82

Unjust Judgments Rebuked.

A Psalm of Asaph.

1God takes His 1position in 2His assembly; He 3judges in the midst of the 4gods.2How long will you 5judge unjustly And 6show partiality to the wicked? Selah3 7Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and destitute.4 8Rescue the weak and needy; Save them from the hand of the wicked.

5They 9do not know nor do they understand; They 10walk around in darkness; All the 11foundations of the earth are shaken.6 12I 13said, “You are gods, And all of you are 14sons of the Most High.7Nevertheless 15you will die like men, And fall like 16one of the princes.”8 17Arise, God, 18judge the earth! For You 19possess all the nations.
