Psalms 65

God’s Abundant Favor to Earth and Mankind.

For the music director. A Psalm of David. A Song.

1There will be silence 1before You, and praise in Zion, God, And the 2vow will be fulfilled for You.2You who hear prayer, To You 3all 4mankind comes.356Wrongdoings prevail against me; As for our offenses, You 78forgive them.49Blessed is the one You 10choose and allow to approach You; He will dwell in Your courtyards. We will be 11satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.

5By 12awesome deeds You answer us in righteousness, 13God of our salvation, You who are the trust of all the 14ends of the earth and the farthest 1516sea;6Who 17establishes the mountains by His strength, Who is 18encircled with might;7Who 19stills the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the 20turmoil of the nations.8They who dwell at the 21ends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs; You make the 22sunrise and the sunset shout for joy.

9You visit the earth and 23cause it to overflow; You greatly 24enrich it; The 2526stream of God is full of water; You prepare their 27grain, for so You prepare 28the earth.10You water its furrows abundantly, You 29settle its ridges, You soften it 30with showers, You bless its growth.11You have crowned the year 31with Your 32goodness, And Your 33paths 34drip with fatness.1235The pastures of the wilderness drip, And the 36hills encircle themselves with rejoicing.13The meadows are 37clothed with flocks And the valleys are 38covered with grain; They 39shout for joy, yes, they sing.
