Psalms 62:5-12

5My soul, 1wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him.6He only is 2my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.7On God my 3salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my 4refuge is in God.8 5Trust in Him at all times, O people; 6Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.

9Men of 7low degree are only 8vanity and men of rank are a 9lie; In the 10balances they go up; They are together lighter than breath.10 11Do not trust in oppression And do not 12vainly hope in 13robbery; If riches increase, 14do not set your heart upon them.

11 15Once God has 16spoken; 17Twice I have heard this: That 18power belongs to God;12And lovingkindness 19is Yours, O Lord, For You 20recompense a man according to his work.
