Psalms 59:10-17
101My God 2in His lovingkindness will meet me; God will let me 3look triumphantly upon 4my foes.11Do not slay them, 5or my people will forget; 67Scatter them by Your power, and bring them down, O Lord, 8our shield.129On account of the 10sin of their mouth and the words of their lips, Let them even be 11caught in their pride, And on account of 12curses and 13lies which they utter.131415Destroy them in wrath, 16destroy them that they may be no more; That men may 17know that God 18rules in Jacob To the ends of the earth. Selah.14They 19return at evening, they howl like a dog, And go around the city.15They 20wander about 21for food And 22growl if they are not satisfied.
16But as for me, I shall 23sing of Your strength; Yes, I shall 24joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the 25morning, For You have been my 26stronghold And a 27refuge in the day of my distress.1728O my strength, I will sing praises to You; For God is my 29stronghold, the 30God who shows me lovingkindness.
