Psalms 50:5-23

5“Gather My 1godly ones to Me, Those who have made a 2covenant with Me by 3sacrifice.”6And the 4heavens declare His righteousness, For 5God Himself is judge. 6Selah.

7“7Hear, O My people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify 8against you; I am God, 9your God.8I do 10not reprove you for your sacrifices, And your burnt offerings are continually before Me.9I shall take no 11young bull out of your house Nor male goats out of your folds.10For 12every beast of the forest is Mine, The cattle on a thousand hills.11I know every 13bird of the mountains, And everything that moves in the field is 14Mine.12If I were hungry I would not tell you, For the 15world is Mine, and 16all it contains.13Shall I eat the flesh of 1718bulls Or drink the blood of male goats?14Offer to God 19a sacrifice of thanksgiving And 20pay your vows to the Most High;1521Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall 22rescue you, and you will 23honor Me.”

16But to the wicked God says, “What right have you to tell of My statutes And to take 24My covenant in your mouth?17For you 25hate discipline, And you 26cast My words behind you.18When you see a thief, you 2728are pleased with him, And 29you 30associate with adulterers.19You 3132let your mouth loose in evil And your 33tongue frames deceit.20You sit and 34speak against your brother; You slander your own mother’s son.21These things you have done and 35I kept silence; You thought that I was just like you; I will 36reprove you and state the case in order before your eyes.

22“Now consider this, you who 37forget God, Or I will 38tear you in pieces, and there will be none to deliver.23He who 39offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; And to him who 4041orders his way aright I shall 42show the salvation of God.”
