Psalms 39:1-4
11I said, “I will 2guard my ways That I 3may not sin with my tongue; I will guard 4my mouth as with a muzzle While the wicked are in my presence.”2I was 5mute 6and silent, I 7refrained even from good, And my 8sorrow grew worse.3My 9heart was hot within me, While I was musing the fire burned; Then I spoke with my tongue:4“Lord, make me to know 10my end And what is the extent of my days; Let me know how 11transient I am.
