Psalms 38:9-14
9Lord, all 1my desire is 2before You; And my 3sighing is not hidden from You.10My heart throbs, 4my strength fails me; And the 5light of my eyes, even 6that 7has gone from me.11My 89loved ones and my friends stand aloof from my plague; And my kinsmen 10stand afar off.12Those who 11seek my life 12lay snares for me; And those who 13seek to injure me have 14threatened destruction, And they 15devise treachery all day long.
13But I, like a deaf man, do not hear; And I am like a 16mute man who does not open his mouth.14Yes, I am like a man who does not hear, And in whose mouth are no arguments.
