Psalms 25

Prayer for Protection, Guidance, and Pardon.

A Psalm of David.

1To You, Lord, I 1lift up my soul.2My God, in You 2I trust, Do not let me 3be ashamed; Do not let my 4enemies rejoice over me.3Indeed, 5none of those who wait for You will be ashamed; 6Those who 7deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed.

48Make me know Your ways, Lord; Teach me Your paths.5Lead me in 9Your truth and teach me, For You are the 10God of my salvation; For You I 11wait all the day.612Remember, Lord, Your compassion and Your faithfulness, For they have been 1314from of old.7Do not remember the 15sins of my youth or my wrongdoings; 16Remember me according to Your faithfulness, For Your 17goodness’ sake, Lord.

818The Lord is good and 19upright; Therefore He 20instructs sinners in the way.9He 21leads the 22humble in justice, And He 23teaches the 24humble His way.10All the paths of the Lord are 25faithfulness and truth To 26those who comply with His covenant and His testimonies.11For the 27sake of Your name, Lord, 28Forgive my wrongdoing, for it is great.

12Who is the person who 29fears the Lord? He will 30instruct him in the way he should choose.13His soul will 31dwell in 32prosperity, And his 33descendants will 34inherit the 35land.14The 3637secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him, 38And He will 39make them know His covenant.15My 40eyes are continually toward the Lord, For He will 4142rescue my feet from the net.

1643Turn to me and be gracious to me, For I am 44lonely and afflicted.1745The 46troubles of my heart are enlarged; Bring me 47out of my distresses.1848Look at my misery and my trouble, And 49forgive all my sins.19Look at my enemies, for they 50are many, And they 51hate me with violent hatred.2052Guard my soul and save me; Do not let me 53be ashamed, for I take refuge in You.21Let 54integrity and uprightness protect me, For 55I wait for You.2256Redeem Israel, God, From all his distress.
