Psalms 18:43-50

43You have delivered me from the 1contentions of the people; You have placed me as 2head of the nations; A 3people whom I have not known serve me.44As soon as they hear, they obey me; Foreigners 4 5submit to me.45Foreigners 6fade away, And 7come trembling out of their 8fortresses.

46The Lord 9lives, and blessed be 10my rock; And exalted be 11the God of my salvation,47The God who 12executes vengeance for me, And 13subdues peoples under me.48He 14delivers me from my enemies; Surely You 15lift me above those who rise up against me; You rescue me from the 16violent man.49Therefore I will 17give thanks to You among the nations, O Lord, And I will 18sing praises to Your name.50He gives great 19 20deliverance to His king, And shows lovingkindness to 21His anointed, To David and 22his 23descendants forever.
