Psalms 109:21-29

21But You, O 1God, the Lord, deal kindly with me 2for Your name’s sake; Because 3Your lovingkindness is good, deliver me;22For 4I am afflicted and needy, And 5my heart is 6wounded within me.23I am passing 7like a shadow when it lengthens; I am shaken off 8like the locust.24My 9knees 10are weak from 11fasting, And my flesh has grown lean, without fatness.25I also have become a 12reproach to them; When they see me, they 13wag their head.

26 14Help me, O Lord my God; Save me according to Your lovingkindness.27 15And let them 16know that this is Your hand; You, Lord, have done it.28 17Let them curse, but You bless; When they arise, they shall be ashamed, But Your 18servant shall be glad.29 19Let 20my accusers be clothed with dishonor, And 21let them 22cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.
