Psalms 104

The Lord’s Care over All His Works.

11Bless the Lord, my soul! Lord my God, You are very great; You are 2clothed with splendor and majesty,2Covering Yourself with 3light as with a cloak, 4Stretching out heaven like a tent curtain.35He 6lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters; 7He makes the 8clouds His chariot; 9He walks on the 10wings of the wind;411He makes 1213the winds His messengers, 14Flaming 15fire His ministers.

5He 16established the earth upon its foundations, So that it will not 17totter forever and ever.6You 18covered it with the deep sea as with a garment; The waters were standing above the mountains.7They fled from Your 19rebuke, At the 20sound of Your thunder they hurried away.8The mountains rose; the valleys sank down To the 21place which You established for them.9You set a 22boundary so that they will not pass over, So that they will not return to cover the earth.

1023He sends forth 24springs in the valleys; They flow between the mountains;11They 25give drink to every animal of the field; The 26wild donkeys quench their thirst.12The birds of the sky 27dwell 28beside them; They 29lift up their voices from among the branches.1330He 31waters the mountains from His upper chambers; 32The earth is satisfied with the fruit of His works.

1433He causes the 34grass to grow for the 35cattle, And 36vegetation for the labor of mankind, So that 37they may produce 38food 39from the earth,15And 40wine, which makes a human heart cheerful, 41So that he makes his face gleam with oil, And 42food, which 43sustains a human heart.16The trees of the Lord 44drink their fill, The cedars of Lebanon which He planted,17Where the 45birds build their nests, And the 46stork, whose home is the juniper trees.

18The high mountains are for the 47wild goats; The 48cliffs are a refuge for the 49rock hyrax.19He made the moon 50for the seasons; The 51sun knows the place of its setting.20You 52appoint darkness and it becomes night, In which all the 53animals of the forest 54prowl about.21The 55young lions roar for their prey 56And 57seek their food from God.22When the sun rises they withdraw, And they lie down in their 58dens.23A person goes out to 59his work And to his labor until evening.

24Lord, how 60many are Your works! 61In 62wisdom You have made them all; The 63earth is full of Your 64possessions.2565There is the 66sea, great and 67broad, In which are swarms without number, Animals both small and great.26The 68ships move along there, And 6970Leviathan, which You have formed to have fun in it.

27They all 71wait for You To 72give them their food in 73due season.28You give to them, they gather it up; You 74open Your hand, they are satisfied with good.29You 75hide Your face, they are terrified; You 76take away their breath, they perish And 77return to their dust.30You send forth Your 7879Spirit, they are created; And You renew the face of the ground.

31May the 80glory of the Lord endure forever; May the Lord 81rejoice in His works;3282He 83looks at the earth, and it 84trembles; He 85touches the mountains, and they smoke.3386I will sing to the Lord 8788as long as I live; 89I will 90sing praise to my God 91while I have my being.34May my 92praise be pleasing to Him; As for me, I shall 93rejoice in the Lord.35May sinners be 94removed from the earth And may the 95wicked be no more. 96Bless the Lord, my soul. 9798Praise 99the Lord!
